I called pain Dr. to increase dose, called in same dose, but 2 weeks early!!Should I be concered?
I had been on present med for 2 weeks Dr. told me to call if needed increased.I did so,but I live 75 miles from pain center,so they sent in mail. When I called pharmacy they said could not be filled yet too early,2 weeks early!!!He called in the same dosage, why.I didnt run out, just wasnt strong enough.I called Dr. and they said they would raise it when I come in on the 10th.So its not really a big deal except for the fact it looks like I was trying to refill my meds too soon. Will that raise the red flag or will my Dr. take responsibility for that. If you have any experience similiair or just advice please help, freaking out cause I finally see light at the end of the tunnel and want ruined because of something I didnt even do!
i know how you feel ive been throught the same ordeal with doctors and pharmacy,
it will not raise a red flag yet unless you tryed more than once to get them filled. the doctor should have know they were not going to fill the same dose when you just had a script filled. it sems like a catch 22 with pharmacys and doctors.
what i would do is call the doctors office back tell them they sent you the wrong script and you will send it back , you were supposed to get the same meds but at a higher dose. dont let them play with you , your the one in pain and yet the seem to play dumb like they didnt know what they did.... i hope you can get this matter striaghten out if not i would go to a doctors office whos a lil closer to you and understands your pain and need for controling it .. good luck and i hope you feel better i hope i helped some what.. rob in delaware.

They can't fill it because it IS the same dose. Had the Dr. increased the mgs., they would have filled it. I hope you didn't run out of your 1st prescription. You need to be clear with whoever you talk with, have them call you back and confirm the script before they send it next time. I understand you're being concerned. You needen't be. Tell the Dr. at next appt. what happened, and bring the script with you, if you have it. That way he knows you didn't do anything illegal with it. {You just need to use a different pharmacy with no insurance}. Just always do the right thing. I got caught Dr. hopping once, that was the scarriest thing. Plus I ran out of meds., long story. Hope I helped you...DonnaH
