I called pain Dr. to increase dose,called in same dose,but 2 weeks early!!Should I be concered?

I had been on present med for 2 weeks Dr. told me to call if needed increased.I did so,but I live 75 miles from pain center,so they sent in mail.When I called pharmacy they said could not be filled yet too early,2 weeks early!!!He called in the same dosage,why.I didnt run out,just wasnt strong...
