What dosage of Valium would be equivelant of 2mg of Xanax?

I recently weened myself off 2mg Xanax, probably a little premature. A series of events have left me back in the "panic zone". Pain Dr. gave me 10mg of Valium, I was just wondering how close they were as far as effectiveness. Also had major flare-ups, and muscle spasms in lower back. Any help would...
