Been there, heard that same line of BS. Finally was told the truth-the state pharmacy board makes it really difficult on the practitioners who do prescribe oxy in some states by making them do prescription reviews,write a justification for using it and not something else,etc,etc,etc just because a few docs abused writing it and there was so much publicity. My new doc just came out and said she won't prescribe it for anyone for any reason-even tho I was on it a while back before it went generic and it worked better (had to change drugs due to cost issues then)
