Your pharmacist is the best person to ask about this. Skelaxin or metaxalone - is also called skelaxin-sulfa. Sulfa allergies occur in people who have a bad reaction to sulfamethoxazole and its derivatives which are found in certain antibiotics, some diuretics, some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.   Because sulfur, sulfites and sulfates are only distantly related to sulfamethoxazole many products with 'sulfa' at the end are unlikely to cause problems for people with sulfa allergies.
