Q: can you take methadone and gabapentin together

can I take Methadone 10mg and Gabapentin 300mg together?

They can be taken together but you should be monitored as they both have central nervous system and respiratory depressant effects.  Here is a link to a drug interaction checker where you can enter any combination of drugs to see the effects of mixing them.  You might like to check it for yourself:  Drug Interactions

Yes you can take Methadone 10mg and Gabapentin 300mg together.  My doctor prescribed them both to me about 6 weeks ago for a while, while I was transferring from one pain doc to the other.  Now I'm on Norco 10/325 mg's 6 times a day and Gabapentin 300 MG's once a day, and a Fentaynol Patch that I change out every 48 hrs.  This combo seems to work, somewhat, for me.  I am going to talk to my pain doc when I see her in Jan about changing my dosage on my patch to the nexy higher dosage. 

 

Anyway, my other doc had me on Methadone 10 mgs 3 times a day and the Gabapentin 300 MG at bedtime.  They worked well together, and you can take them together.  I hope that this helps you out!
