i am 22 and had TMJ for most of my life. It has steadily gotten worse. nothing seems to help for any length of time... accupuncture, message, chiropractors, ant-inflamitories, bite guards. No one wants to be popping pills all the time at this age! Or eating their food out of a blender! The pain affects my moods, sleep habits, energy levels and my workouts. Other muscles affected include my deltoids, biceps, triceps, forarms, muscles on head/scalp, and muscules through out my back. After i do work these muscles, its pain 4 a few days minimum. I do a lot of stretching STILL NOTHING HELPS! Any sugestions welcome

I would look into the probability of FMS or Fibromyalgia. Search the web and read up on it to see if it sounds like you. My FMS began with TMJ and went from there. There is treatment and hope. You have to find out for sure what he cause is 1st. Best wishes.
