My husband has cervical fusion in 2004 and was eventually referred to a pain management physician. He went to that dr and was prescribed medications for over a year.  Due to his job, he had to stop going for his VERY NEEDED treatment and meds.  Now he desperately needs a pain management physician but doesn't want to go back to his surgeon for a referral.  Any suggestions???  Let me know if you know of any such pain management physicians in or around the Birmingham, Alabama area.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  He is a very different person when not on his medications and can't do as much as he can when he is on them.    Thank you for any help you can provide.
