Q: bone pain & healing times for broken leg

broke leg in march just had screws removed pain is worse than ever is this normal taking vicodine not helping

My understanding is that the healing time from a broken leg is very variable. If you broke your tibia, for instance, that can take longer to heal. Sometimes it takes the bone a long time to come together. Here's a story of a guy who was still experiencing pain a year later (!) (but it sounded like his break was probably worse than yours.) Over time his leg was healing but it was taking  quite awhile.

That said there are several tests - x-rays, bone scans, tomography scans - they can  use to determine if there are any real problems or if its just taking a long time.
