Help! Severe muscle pain and spasms in the mid back through the stomach

My Dad is 50 and has seen many doctors in the past 4 months. Back doctors, heart, stomach, lung, rectal and even chiropractors. They all have found practically nothing that explains his issues. He does have a scar on his lung and an aneurysm in his rectum somewhere but it's really small...
