Has anyone started a petition against the FDA-REMS act?

want to fight back
06/20/09

Has anyone started a petition against the FDA-REMS act? If you do not know what the REMS act the FDA is doing go to www.fda.gov and in the search box type REMS.  You will have untill June 30, 2009 to state your opion on what they want to do with any opiod drug.  Visit the site.  You will not belive what you read.  I am/was on an opiod drug not just for sever pain but also for Chrons Disease which makes me have severe diareha with blood in my stools.  I have been switched to three different medications since the FDA made the manufacturers stop making the medications and my pharmacist can't find any.  I have also found out that alot of the manufacturers are not going to make the medications any more due to the FDA-REMS act.  So we need to fight back some how.

We've been encouraging community members to write the FDA and express their opinions about the proposed REMS.  You can read the SharePost about it and comments from some who have responded here:  URGENT:  FDA May Remove or Limit Access to Pain Medications
