whats the best medication for chronic back paini
Sorry, but there really is no "best." It varies from person to person AND depends a great deal upon why you have the chronic back pain.
Best,
Jon

I take TALWIN N X it's the best one out there it's an old school pain reliever.
But it does really work better than these new ones out now. I live with chronic
pain my whole body.

Try Opana, my 29 year old son has had 5 back surgeries and will probably have a fusion soon. The only drug that has kept his pain under control is Opana, It's fairly new and the pharmacy has to order it for him. It's very strong, but he has tried everything else, including, morphine, methadone, & oxycodine. Hope you feel better, back pain is the worse.
Moreaphine helps me the most but i am allso takeing Gabapentin 600mg three times a day and Avinza 60mg twice a day. "Avinza is timed released moreaphine"
At bed time i allso use a pain patch ""Lidoderm" and that helps me through the night.
Keep watching the posts on this web-site and hopefuly you can find something that will work for you.
good luck

I must say i agree with Jon- you said chronic back pain,,, is it muscles? joints? discs? sciatica?........ i know a lot of back medications, i suffer from chronic pain myself, but you did not mention a diagnosis for your lower back, perhaps if you could be more specific, i could make a few suggestions, however, Talking to your Doctor is very important before making decisions. Also, what other meds were you on for it before? ( if you were ).... good luck,,, i feel for you,,,
