Hi Abbagayle,

I didn't find anything that denoted the lumps were caused by Fibromyalgia. There are other users who related a similar story, but the lumps turned out to be cancer. Has your doctor had you checked to make sure the lumps are just anomalies brought on by the FM?

You can read several good articles here on Health Central that will help you when it comes time to ask those questions from your doctor. While HealthCentral is a wonderful resource for information, it can not take the place of your Doctor's sound medical advice.

One article written by Resident Expert, Will Rowe is here. It's his take on a NY times article about Fibromayalgia. Other users like Moe, asked what could these lumps be and there were several answers. You can read Moe's question and answers here. Martin has a similar issue and the lumps are relieved through massage, but it's a painful process. You can read Martin's question and the answers here.

I hope this helps somewhat. Take care and stay in touch!

This video explains where back pain stems from by taking you through the anatomy of the back.
