im getting ready to go to a surgeon, i need to have some of my discs removed and a rod put in

according to my doctor, i need several discs removed and a rod implanted, im wondering also if anyone on this website has had this surgery and if so, how is YOUR quality of life now that you have had this surgery, im not talking a fusion, i have degenerative disc disease, which i just learned that...
