Q: If you suffer from neuropathic pain in your lower back and legs, how have you been treated?

I have chronic pain in both of my legs and lower back.  It is definitely due to two discectomies at L4-5, and possibly due to one botched surgery and a long term exposure to solvents that caused nerve damage.  Among other diagnoses, I have been told it is "failed back surgery syndrome" and "radiculopathy".

I have been treated with Lyrica, Elavil, MSContin and immediate release oxycodone for breakthrough pain.  This combination of medications is efficacious, but I am always interested in hearing about others types of treatment, no matter if they are orthodox or alternative.
