Burning sensation in both ancles, i wander if anyone else has experienced the same thing? Part 2

Hi,i seen my Family Doctor this past Monday and he is'nt sure why i have the swelling so he just told me to prop my legs up at night. I hope my Pain management Doctor can tell me something on November 2'nd at my appointment. I have'nt got an answer to this question here yet so i made this a part 2 question in hopes someone could give me some kind of answer so here we go again/. i have this werid fealing in both my ancles and feet along with swelling in both feet and ancles with the right one being the worst,it feals like sun burn because when i move them right left etc i get that sun burn effect plus the fealing goes up higher on the outside of both legs to just below the knees and even feals like i have boots on (: Plus i have that tight sun burny fealing mildly in both arms.

I'm not sure what is causeing this swelling except it might be the meds that i'm takeing.

Gabapentin 600mg 3 times a day,Cyclobenzaprine 10'mg and Morphine 15mg ir 2 or 3 times aday.??

Thanx

45 year old female who learned that a disease existed callled...

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

I have the very same kind of pain in my hands.  It is the FM at work with its tricks.  My very first symptoms that got me was the burning in the hands.  The burning for me will tingle, then go to numbness then back to that burning sensation within seconds.  I take neurontin for it.  I am surprised Neurontin is not helping that because this is a "nerve" pain or neuropathic pain which ever one you want to call it.  You could try Lyrica because it takes care of that same kind of pain you mention.   I do still get the burning in my hands if I miss a dose of Neurontin or if I have not had a dose in several hours.

Hope this helps.

Hi DEb the Neurontin is helping with the pain unless i miss a dose,i have been trying to figure out why i am getting the swelling in my ancles etc.

I will continue to take it as long as i can because it does take the pain away or  the pain level down.

I'm inclined to think i may have FM, i have'nt had a definet "You Got This" for an answer , the Doctors are still thinking Osteoprosis or slight arthritous but no one knows for sure.

Thanx for your post
