I need the name of a local doctor who will treat my chronic pain

I have been diagnosed with degenerative back pain and was told I will be in chronic pain for the rest of my life.  My doctor prescribed hydrocodone at first then went to Flexeril 10mg and said that's all he could give me.  I need the name of a local doctor that I can see.  I live close to Shreveport, La.

It certainly is not helpful to be told that you will be in chronic pain for the rest of your life.  I know that because I have lived with excruciating head pain since my severe brain-stem injury in 1971.  I've gone everywhere to get help with my migraine pain.  I've found relief from a Physical Medicine/Pain Management doctor who gives me botox to relief my pain.  I get treatments every 6 months and I'm without pain for about 5 months.  I use Migrinal Nasal Spray for another month when I have head pain.  Then I get myself back to the pain doctor for my botox.  Before I found botox, pain would keep me down for 5 out of 7 days.  Now I can live life.  You can check out my story on my web site at; www.survivoracceptance.com
