It depends on what kind of condition you have. According the Pfizer - the producer of Lyrica -the top dose for diabetics with neuropathy is 300 mgs/day, the top dose for post-herpetic neuralgia is 600 mgs/day and for fibromyalgia is 450 mgs/day. They all begin dosing at 150 mgs./day and work their way up if needed.

I was prescribed Lyrica about 8 months ago for my post traumatic chronic headaches and chronic back pain after I was wounded.  I started at 150mg and got all the way up to 450mg until I leveled out for a few months.

In the end, I stopped taking it because I couldn't stay awake at work.
