Because Etodolac is an anti-inflammatory medication, I would say Etodolac is better than Skelaxin. Skelaxin is a type of muscle relaxant which really is not effective for sciatica or any nerve pain for that matter. Nerves are very sensitive to inflammation; it is like throwing battery acid on the nerve. Stopping the chemical process of inflammation with an anti-inflammatory medication is very important. Put the fire out with any anti-inflammatory medication because they are equally effective.
