Q: I broke my left wrist in 3 places in 09/2009. I had surgery to fix it using a plate and screws. Now I am having a lot of pain and swelling in area of plate, almost 2 years after surgery.

I had regained about 90 % of function in the wrist w/in 6 months of surgery with the help of PT. Recently the wrist has swelled and will have very sharp stabs of pain if moved in certain directions. The location is just where the plate is. In addition, the skin in that area is very "tingley" to the touch. I have an appt with my surgeon in a week, but it getting worse each day.
