Oxycodone is the generic for Percocet. The mgs are; 5mgs of Percocet and 325mgs of acetominiphen aka Tylenol. The uses of this drug vary from dental procedures to controlling moderate to severe pain. I am on Oxycodone 10/325 and find it's much better to have less of the same ingredient of Tylenol in it as it will help save your liver and kidneys. Do not take Tylenol for any other aches and pains if you are prescribed this. For example; if you are running a fever or have a headache, use Advil or another drug that does not contain Acetominiphen. I prefer Advil Liqigels over anything for other uses as it works quickly for headaches, etc. Be careful and always ask your Pharmacist if any of your meds do not mix well together and also use this same advice for any vitamins or other natural herb substances that you may or may not take.
