Q: is there any gluten in Oxycodone?

does this mediation cause swelling? My friend is allergic to gluten and the reaction she is having is the same as when she takes gluten

I would be surprised if there was gluten in the binders for Oxycodone.  Oxycodone can cause swelling or edema in some patients. It's not the most common side effect but it does occur. If the swelling occurs in the throat, mouth or nose area be very careful as it could signal an allergic reaction to the drug that could be very dangerous.  Your friend should contact her doctor and explain what's going on. Perhaps she can restart at a lower dose or find another drug that does not cause swelling. Good luck.
