Q: why does my feet feel numb and tingle up to my ankles when iask the dr. just says that gos with it

It sounds like peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy is a condition in which the nerves in the torso or limbs malfunction causing numbness, pain, hot or cold feelings etc. It can be caused by a wide number of conditions including diabetes, hormone problems, infection, etc.

 

The cure for the neuropathy is to fix the underlying condition that's causing it. Apparently you have one of the many conditions that can cause this.

Hi, you probably got neuroathapy from diabites. Have you had any kind of chemo for cancer that also can cause this problem as I have had diabetic neuroathapy since 1997 plus I just got done with chemo for breast cancer which aggaravatied even more. Plus I have gout which causes shooting pain. I hope this answers your question.
