Q: What Does A -3.8 Result On A Bone Density Test Mean

A -3.8 t-score means that your bones are below the average bone density score by quite a bit which puts you in the category of having osteoporosis. You may be a high risk for a fragile fracture depending on other fracture risk assesment issues.

 

With such a low t-score, your doctor should look into secondary causes of osteoporosis. OR you could see a bone mineral specialist to get a specialists opinion.
