Pain back of legs, above and below knees. morning can barely walk, doc not helping, any ideas?

First few steps in morning no pain, but after that very painful in back of legs, above and below knees. Did go away after being active couple hours but now just gets a little better but walking or being on feet very painful. Take weight off and pain stops immediately.  Bend over touch toes easy, but when straighten up hurts very bad for a few seconds.   Background: 65 years old, male hip replaced in 03 other in 04.  General health good, but take 25mg Toprol XL, 25mg hydroduridrill and 100mg Cozaar per day to control BP.

My first thought is to talk to the doctor who did your hip replacements to see if there could be any connection between that and the pain you're currently experiencing.  If you've done that and there is no connection, you might want to consider seeing a physiatrist.  Physiatrists specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation.  They diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskelatal disorders.  The bottom line is, if your current doctor can't help you, try someone else.  Not every doctor can find and treat every problem.  You need to and deserve to get an accurate diagnosis for your pain, so keep searching until you find a physician who can help you.

I wish you the best in your search.

This is strange,  I have HBP and take norvasc, hctz for it.  My mother too has had BP probs for years.  Common fact...  terrible leg pain.  I have been diagnoised with a bllod disease.  I really feel like my mother,  It is ciruculation problem.  Do you have swelling??  Varicuse Veins??  Most of my pain is in the calves and behind the knees.  Swelling too.  I can't walk either,  not till I take something.  Then I fuss all day about my legs killing me.  My mother is bed riiden because of it.  If you figure anything out let me know please.  Gypsy
