    What causes shooting pain in the upper right arm?

    I have this constant pain in my upper right arm that comes and goes. It sometimes wakes me up at night. I even have sharp pains through my chest. Any idea what this could be?

    I would encourage you to see a doctor as soon as possible.  While it may be something as simple as a pulled muscle, anytime you have pain in the chest and arm area, you have to consider possible heart problems and should get it checked.  I know we usually think of pain from a heart problem as occuring in the left arm, but it can occur in the right arm as well.  If you're still having pain, get it checked.  It's just not worth taking any chances.

      hi good day

      thank you for answering me back,i just don't know why i get these pains,and ya it happends sometimes and then wake me up,i also get that sharp pains ,so yes i will have to go see the doc.
