I'm afraid I don't know what PD is...(Is it Parkinson's Disease?). Your husband has really had a difficult time with all these surgeries, apparently to no avail...
Intrathecal pumps can be very effective because they deliver drugs right to the site of the injury. This means less drugs are needed and what's delivered is more potent. I do wonder, given that the pain is idiopathic, if they can find the right place to deliver the drug but that's just a guess.
