my mother recently passed from mesenteric ischemicia, she was eventually put on dilaud

dilaudid IV and was out of pain but then she was reduced to a vegetative state.......mouth open eyes open........I still spoke to her knowing or hoping somewhere in there she could hear me.  I know she was in agony, but to come back to the hospital and she was like in a coma; I don't understand the fine line between palliative care and

her lingering like that for three days.???
