TOOK EMBEDA 50MG TIME RELEASED AT 10P LAST NITE AND 10A THIS AM. STILL HAVE SOME PAIN MY DR HAD ME START THIS AS I JUST had 2nd back orperation was taking 10.325 percocet 4x day thats 80mg day its only been not evena day but am calling my dr. to c if i can take a percocet for breakthrough pain. anyone else try this new form of oxycontin yet

Embeda, that's the new "Abuse" resistant drug!
Does it work as well? 4 10 mg percocet is only 40 MG a day of oxycodone, 100 MG a day of morphine is the stronger option

Be careful. Mixing drugs with Embeda can be fatal. I was given the med for 2 days and the side affects were horrible. I was then taken off the med and returned to Kadian 60mg. I had been taking Kadian for almost a year and had great results. I feltlikea Guinea Pig on the EMBEDA. It made me feel likeI was in withdrawal.

There is no data to support your statement "Mixing drugs with Embeda can be fatal." What do you base this statement on? While titrating tot he correct dose physicians often use immediate release products along with extended release medications.
The typical conversion for oxycodone to morphine in 1:1.5 so 80 mg of oxycodone is approximately equal to 160 mg morphine -but most docotors will titrate up to an effective dose slowly over several weeks.

joshua thanks the embeda is just ok after about 8 hrs i have pain took a 10mg perk to help and took my embeda 2 hrs early dr.called when i go in next week hes gonna up my embeda so u say 2 embeda i take 2x day is equal to 100 mg of morphine which is stronger then 80mg perks thanks 4 quick ans
