I've been coughing & burping a lot (due to heartburn), my poor throat is hurting as well as the muscles in my neck. How to I make them not hurt? Because the burping & coughing don't seem to want to stop... any ideas of how to deal with them would be great as well.

Have you seen your doctor about the coughing and heartburn?  If they are occuring frequently enough to make your throat and neck hurt that much, they need to be treated by a physician.  Finding something to soothe your thoat may only be covering up a more significant problem.  If you doctor hasn't been able to help you, you might consider seeing an ear, nose and throat specialist.
