Dear sikntired,

One of my medications i take is called  "carisopridol" which is actually "soma" it comes in onyl one strength i believe, and it is 350 mg, I have been suffering for years and recently diagnosed with F.M., I have been on Soma for about 5 years, it works great for me,,, it is probably the only medication that i find CONSISTANTLY helpful. there are alot of muscle relaxes out there, always remember everyone is different,,,, but SOMA has been great for me,,, just like all medications,, take caution until you are familiar with this medications and side effecys,, IF I AM GOING TO BE PUT ON A NEW MEDICATION, I AM ALWAYS GOING TO TAKE IT WHEN I DONT HAVE TO WORK that day (FOR THE FIRST DOSE) SO I KNOWWWWW what the effects are going to be,,,,

good luck,, let me know how you make out,, i am an expert when it comes to muscle relaxers, lord knows i have been on all of them at one point,,,,,                 have a pain free day,      Linda

Hello sikntired,

Yes I have found great relief from zaneflex. It comes in 2 or 4 mg. I usually only use it a bedtime because it makes you very drowsy and I would never drive on it because it relaxes your reflexes too much to be a good and alert driver. If you have seen Jeff L.'s posts you will see he had to find out the hard way! I don't judge people so I can understand it can certainly happen to any one of us!! Once I accidently took 2 doses of my muscle relaxer and became very dizzy on it. Hence now I use pill containers. How long have you had fibromyalgia? I have been diagnosed for almost 10 years and it has been a definite battle. Hope all is well...take care.
