You can search for a psychiatrist at Find-a-Therapist.com.  Just choose "psychiatrist" in the Directory space, enter your zip code, and enter how many miles you're willing to travel for appointments.  You should then get a list of psychiatrists in your area.  You're  probably going to have to call their offices to find out if they take Medicaid.

You might also try asking your local Medicaid office if they have a list of psychiatrists in your area that take Medicaid.

Unfortunately, since Medicaid's reimbursement rates are low, it can be difficult to find a psychiatrist who will accept it.

Good luck to you!

Hi Vickie

To find a Dr with Medicaid you will have to go thru your states Community Mental Heath Service which you can find on your states website

For instance I live in Michigan so I would enter www.michigan.gov/medicaid so wherever you are just sudstitute your state where I placed michigan.

Hope this helps and take care I know how defficult it can be when dealing both with chronic pain and depression simutaneously....don't give up it will pass

God Bless Vickie

love ya

Patrick
