Increased urinary frequency is usually due to a bladder infection. A condition called interstitial cystitus that mainly affects women can also caused increased urinary frequency and pain. Vaginitis refers to an infection that causes pain and can increase urinary frequency as well. Bladder cancer and other disorders are a possibility but they're not common and bladder cancer is way down the list.
The most probably cause is probably a bladder infection but your doctor will have to determine. Good luck finding out what's causing this and getting it taken care of.
