You should limit two things when taking Vicodin: you should avoid drinking alcohol and you should not use any other over the counter cold, cough, allergy or pain medication whle taking Vicodin without checking with your pharmacist or doctor. This is because Vicodin contains alot of acetaminophen. If you add more acetaminophen to your system by taking cold, cough or pain medications you run the rusk if suffering liver damage.
Because Vicodin can be constipating you should consider drinking more fluids and eating more fiber or a bulk enhancer such as psyllium seed to keep you regular.
