I hit my upper left arm on a metal bed,there is a small bruise,but why do I feel so much pain?
I was cleaning under my daughters bed,which the frame is metal.I hit my upper left arm on the bed when reaching under it and there is a small bruise there but the pain is horrible.Why would there be so much pain and discomfort?Should I have it checked?

Anytime the pain is out of proportion to the injury, it should be checked out. It's always possible that there was injury below the surface.
