Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, commonly known as TMJ, is chronic jaw pain that is closely linked to fibromyalgia. Nearly 90% of patients with fibromyalgia experience TMJ. Stress can cause or worsen headache, migraine, nausea, and jaw pain that are symptoms of TMJ. Patients, who are tense often clench their jaw or grind their teeth. Relaxation techniques and exercises for facial muscles can help prevent TMJ.
