Study: Seizure med relieves fibromyalgia pain

The anticonvulsant med Neurontin has shown promise for treating fibromyalgia pain in a new study. Neurontin, which is used to treat certain types of seizures, appears to ease the hard-to-treat condition by blocking some nerve cells' ability to signal pain. Researchers say people with fibromyalgia may now have a potential new treatment option for a condition with few effective treatments. Read more »
