Oral cannabis (a type of medical marijuana) is not an effective
treatment for some kinds of acute pain, Austrian researchers say,
and it may even increase sensitivity to other kinds of discomfort.
For the study, investigators evaluated 18 healthy women for pain
thresholds in skin areas that had induced sunburn. Women given the
medical marijuana did not experience any pain-relieving effects
