Australian researchers have made a discovery that they say sheds
new light on the roots of chronic pain, a discovery that could lead
to new treatments. Scientists working with rats used dye to follow
the path of pain signals in the brain. They found that when pain
reaches one part of the brain, it sends out a signal to another
part of the brain that triggers emotional responses, and this could
