Fentanyl Facts
August 17, 2009
Drugmaker Watson Pharmaceuticals has voluntarily recalled one production batch of its Fentanyl Transdermal System patches. The drugmaker reports these patches may leak fentanyl and expose patients and caregivers to the drug directly. The recalled patches are designed to release the drug at a rate of 100 mg per hour. The lot is number 145287A and were shipped to customers between April 2 and May 20, 2009. Their expiration date is February 2011.
