Fibromyalgia Is Not A Condition

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Savella (milnacipran hydrochloride) for the treatment of the chronic pain condition fibromyalgia. The FDA made its approval decision based on positive results in clinical trials involving 2,084 patients. Scientists are not sure how Savella, which is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine dual reuptake inhibitor, works to help fibromyalgia, a condition that is thought to be linked to abnormalities in certain brain chemicals.
