Steroid shots are little help for lower back pain, study finds

Epidural steroid shots do not provide long-term relief for lower back pain that radiates down a leg, a new study has found. Researchers found that the steroid injections only provide back-pain relief for between 2 and 6 weeks, and they do not help patients 'buy time' to avoid surgery. Read more »
