Non Cancer Chronic Pain

This is a study to compare the effects of fentanyl buccal to immediate release oxycodone in alleviating breakthrough pain in opioid-tolerant patients with chronic pain. This national study is currently recruiting adults who suffer from chronic pain due to such conditions as diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, traumatic injury, complex regional pain syndrome, back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, chronic pancreatitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or cancer.
