Pain After Adhesion Surgery

A reader is considering hysterectomy and is concerned about the
risk of adhesions. Adhesions are bands of internal scar tissue that
can form as a result surgery or injury. Adhesions in the abdomen
can cause pain and obstructions in the intestine. The doctor
replies that there is a low risk of adhesions from hysterectomy.
