Time To Celebrate - FDA Approves First Drug for Fibromyalgia!

Today the FDA announced that Lyrica (pregabalin) has been approved for the treatment of fibromyalgia.  Lyrica, manufactured by Pfizer, is the very first drug ever to receive FDA approval for fibromyalgia. Since many Migraineurs also have Fibromyalgia, this might be especially good news in that Lyrica is also prescribed (off-label) for headache and Migraine prevention. This may offer an opportunity to use one medication to treat both conditions.
