Narcotic pain meds have been shown to increase the risk of fractures in chronic-pain patients. But new research suggests this fracture risk is reduced when patients use Subutex instead of other opioid meds. A German study looked at the costs related to opioid-induced fractures and found that government health costs could be cut by almost 0.5 billion Euros if pain patients used Subutex.
