Patients who take Ultram (tramadol) several times a day to manage
chronic pain now have the option of an extended-release form of the
drug. The new formula, Ultram ER, is a once-a-day alternative to
the drug's immediate-release formula that must be taken every 4 to
6 hours to control chronic pain.
