British researchers say a posture training method known as the Alexander Technique may provide relief for chronic back pain that lasts for more than a year. In a recent study, 579 back pain patients received either massage therapy, care from a family doctor, or lessons on the Alexander Technique, which involves training to improve posture and muscle coordination while walking, standing, and sitting.
