Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is most accurately diagnosed using the patients' descriptions of symptoms, and electrodiagnostic tests that measure nerve conduction through the hand. If electrodiagnostic testing is not available, then symptom descriptions and a series of physical tests are useful.
