Chewable aspirin may be better after heart attack

California researchers have found that chewable aspirin is more readily absorbed into bloodstream, which may make it a better choice for people who've suffered a cardiac event such as a heart attack. In a new study, participants who consumed chewable aspirin had higher levels of aspirin in their blood shortly afterward than people who either swallowed regular aspirin whole or chewed then swallowed regular aspirin.  Read more »
